- 日系人の地位向上のために、ハワイ報知は1912年に設立され、活躍を続けています。

Imigration from Japan until 1885,when 944 contract immigrants arrived. Since then, 180,000
immigrants came by the end of 1924. The Hawaii Hochi was founded in 1912 for improvement in
the status of the Nikkei and has played an important role in its society.

1986年 ハワイ日本人移民慰霊碑がマキキ基地内に完成。
- A Memorial to Japanese Imigrants is established in Makiki Cemetery.
1987年 ハワイ報知創立75周年。
- これを記念しハワイ州上院は、ハワイ州の発展に貢献したとして
- 静岡新聞社・大石益光社長(故人)、ハワイ報知・ポール円福現社長、創立者・牧野金三郎氏(故人)に感謝状決議文、祝賀決議文を贈る(2月)。
- The 75th anniversary of Hawaii Hochi.In honor,the Senate of Hawaii gives a Congraturalatory Certificate to Masumitsu Oishi(the president of Shizuoka Simbun),Paul Yempuku(the president of Hawaii Hochi)honoring Kinzaburo Makino(the founder)in Febrary.
1997年 ハワイ報知創立85周年。
